| So, why I am I doing all this???...publishing all this stuff about myself??? ...putting my life on-line to some extent??? what`s my motivation, my intention? In part, it`s to find some compatible folks in the world by trying to say who I am, what I`m all about, to tell my story with my web pages.... indeed, this website is, in part, a people-sieve, filtering-out folks who are just not interested in or totally bored with someone like myself, but hopefully the sieve would be coarse enough to leave a few compatible folks with similiar sensitivities, similiar orientations towards life, similiar tastes and passions ...leading to connecting with them as real-life friends and amongst the females, maybe even finding a lady <slight blush>...OTOH, all this is |  |
so new, using computers-as-communication-devices, such unexplored possibilities for personal expression and interpersonal communication ...although I`m only an enthusiastic beginner using relatively low-end software[PSP&FrontPage], I imagine that I see wonderful possibilities for aesthetical, emotional and intellectual expression thru web publishing ...personal websites allowing for subtle levels of human communication&expression rather than as merely a giant Vanity Press..."Vanity of vanities, all is vanity."...each month I find more&more new personal websites that are very nice , IMHO, many of which are quite emotionally expressive...even as a beginner I think it`s a great time to be involved in web publishing... nothing is yet cut-in-stone, there`s no tried-and-true way of doing anything in webpage design and content possibilities...after all, it was only 1994 when Mosaic was just going out and Netscape ver 1.0 was coming in with hardly any .com`s on the web[if any??]...change, change, change .........great, huh! |
